Eyewear Heaven: Selima Optique and Cuttler & Gross

My big brother John B showed me today the latest in what to wear on your nose! And oh my what treats I got to see in his house of eyewear. He is outsourcing the two hipster brands Selima Optique and Cuttler and Gross. You can in the pictures below see me favourites from the collections. No chance in hell that I can not have a round Selima Optique piece. I mean - my Ray Ban Wayfarer is long gone forgotten after this.

My favourite model: Joseph! I love the details and that it has different colours in the frame and in the bows.

You can't have square glasses after you've seen the collections of theese beauties! SO COOL!!

There is more edge to the Cutler and Gross collection, but also with a playfulness and coolness.

My favourite pair!

Camilla's New Animals

Yes, these two animals are the newest things in Camilla Prytz' ANIMAL jewellery collection. Who wouldn't have an aligator or a kangaroo around their necks? Cool!

3.1 Phillip Lim S/S 2010

The latest collection of designer "hottie" Phillip Lim has really got the essence of what I want in a spring/summer collection. The soggy chino-trousers, vests and singlets in see-thorugh materials, fantastic shoes, the jumpsuit, beautiful jackets, shorts and of course the random it-piece - here represented by the leathery vest and shorts. (Is "it" still a word to use??) Everything looks kind of casual and very very tailored. Yet there is an edge to every outfit. I could buy every pair of shoes in the collection. I also would like to get my hands on the cluthes and the glasses.

THE Vest

This vest is a fantastic piece. It's a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier piece. I have borrowed it for some time by my good friend Bjørg Thorhallsdottir. Beautiful colour. I love it together with my Prada knit.

NYC Fix Halloween Party

Yesterdays halloween party was a hit! Once again Rollerboy made his enterance - this time as the sailor boy that he is. The dinner was fantastic and the dancing afterwords - fun fun. The über-cool glasses that me and Jane-insane wore is called John and are by Selima Optique. I wore anchor top from Balenciaga, Hedda's hat and John's 70's gym shorts. The same John was super cool in his Jeremy Scott for Adidas-discobowl outfit. Good times!

Men in Pumps

Yes, white socks and mockasins are back. I was cold this evening, so I wore wollen socks which also works! Oh - I love my mockasins/pumps from Acne!

At the Acne Showroom: S/S 2010

Today I stopped by the Acne Showroom. I was there some weeks ago and really LOVED what I saw. First of all, the interior and the showroom itself is beautiful - kind of intellectual scandi-chic. With bookshelfs, small sculptures, white walls, wooden interior. Only almost minimalistic - just so much cooler! But of course, it was not the interior that made me want to come back. The spring/summer collection for 2010 is fantastic. It's a collection where safari and african animal prints and colours are mixed together with the minimalistic cuts and the Scandinavian coolness of the brand. Oh yes - it works as hell. My favourite pieces from the collection are in the pictures below. I can not face next summer without the yellow pants (I like to call them circus pants) and the beautiful cardigans. I'm a guy who loves his heels and the black pair is to die for! I also took some pictures of what you ladies can expect. Yes, the shoes are fantastic, but isn't a trench with leather back flap and belt just genius? And the frilly jacket!! Oh man...

Lanvin Spring/Summer 2010

Lanvin's collecton for spring/summer 2010 has a very mixed expression to it. Dressed up business men meets English school boy meets the sporty and the rough. And even though it may seem strange - it works. What made of Alber Elbaz and Lucas Ossendrijver would not work is something I would rather ask! Well, the collaboration of the two for this collecion actually makes socks wore in sandals seem ok and heavy winter boots to shorts like something natural. But instead of looking at the complete looks I would rather watch every piece of garment separately. I love love the fantasic coats, espeacially the one in emarald. The shorts and trousers are also unique using shiny garments giving them almost an underwear kind of look. The patterns are fantastic (pic. 2, 4 & 8). And who would not like a business jumpsuit (pic. 7)??
