Audition time ...

Today I got a letter from the ballet school I want to enter here in Oslo... The audition date is set and I'm dancing for my future in less than 12 days. Why not do it with style! These ballet shoes from Capezio are fantastic. It's like my old and boring slippers meets Balmain rock chic. Even though it would look smashing, I don't think the part I'm dancing can wear studded shoes. I'm dancing the part as a peasant - happy happy. Well, people, pleace cross your fingers and other parts of your body that may be crossed. Thanks!

I'm in love with a German film star
I once saw in a bar
sitting in a corner in imperfect clothes
trying not to pose
for the cameras and the girls
It's a glamorous world...

Costume Awards

Costume Awards was a really great event and a great party. A bunch of well-dressed people bunched up in Posthallen. I voted for Hanneli for best dressed woman, but Charlotte Thortvedt got that award.
I wore oversized shirt from G-Oslo, needle from Marni, pants and cardigan from Balenciaga and shoes fromm Acne. Hanneli's fantastic shimmy-pants is actually her own design. She got a sewing-lady in NYC to make them for her!

A test.

These pictures are from a test shoot I did with photography student Anne-Helen Hanssen.

On the cover!

These cool pictures are from Hanneli's blog. They were taken before and after the Nina Jarebrink runway show.
Hanneli thinks they look like pictures on the cover of an album. I totally agree. We should start a band, me on rythm sticks, Hanneli on triangle and Marianne on the vocals. It will probably be a huge success!

Nina Jarebrink Fall/Winter 09 - Backstage shots

Nina Jarebrink's coming collection is a dream. Sexy, preppy, rocked, a mix of styles blended together into a really consistant and strong collection. I had the honour of choreographing the runway show happening at new restaurant/club Emil & Samuel. The brand's profile is new and the work is done by the design company named WORK.
Here are some backstage snaps before the show and some from the party after.

Jannicke from the salon T35 at Theresesgate was the leading hairstylist. The look was very 80's power woman - both glamorous and strong. Some of the models had long volouminous hair with curls, while others like Hanneli had the square and strong Grace Jones-look.
Linda Wickman was the leading make-up artist. The look was pale and matt skin with bronze eyes and super red and glossy lips.

This picture was taken just after I had sent a sms to dj Charlotte Thorstvedt that we were ready to let the show begin. Nina is doing a final touch!
Marie-Alix, Mona and Hedda looking great as usual!

Cath wearing a piece by G-Oslo. I love Hege's feathered hat.

Earlier that day I gave Mariann her x-mas present (a bit late, I know). She got my grandmother Vesla's old white leather blazer. The belt and trousers are from Ms. Jarebrink.

A lot of press were at the show. Here are what they wrote about the show:

Busy week.

Fashion show, Costume Awards, styling and more styling - on top of the usual training and the likes... Phew - but oh so much fun. Tomorrow, Wednesday, I'm choreographing Nina Jarebrink of Sweden's latest fashion show! The collection is fab and the event is going to be fantastic. On Thursday it's Costume Awards - a party where what you wear is what you are - haha. Well, sort of anyways. My friends Donna Martin and Brenda Walsh are playing their tunes and that's always a hit! I'm also styling a page in the shoe brand DNA's new spring catalogue. Aaaand - a fashion shoot I styled this autumn is actually going to be printed. The new street magazine Platinum is going to use the shoot. The photoes are by wonder-photo-boy Steffen Aaland and beautiful Marie-Alix was in front of the cam. Grreat. Who needs a weekend??

What's left on the head!

Gunnhilde's Louboutins

What's a boy to do when he's sick? Well, I picked up the Christian Louboutin pumps I ordered for my dear Gunnhilde (G-Oslo). She's of course paying them herself, haha, but I got her a fantastic offer. The shoes are timeless and unique. I love the leather quality and that the platform is hidden inside the leather.
Well, Gunnhilde's x-mas just began! And I actually feel much better already! Fuck vitamin C, just buy really really pretty shoes!

hanneli.lola.no

Do check out Ms. Mustaparta's blog at lola.no. Hanneli has one of the best blogs because of her variation in what she is writing about. I'm sitting here in my walk-in-closet appartment (It's the size of a closet) sick with flue. A perfect thing to do before hiding under the sheets yet again is to check out some blogs. Hanneli's is always the one i check out first! Peace!

What a day!

So far 2009 has been a fantastic year! And the 2nd of January was a really good day full of fun. The day was spent with my beautiful friends. It was creative time by day and party at night. The party was at Blå where dj extrodinare (?) Fred Falke did his thing. Mr. Gaute Drevdal had his birthday party there as well. Happy days.

Hanneli is doing her thing.

Macrones and sketching at Pascal.

The coolest nailpolish in town by Bernhard Wilhelm. You can get it at Henrik Vibskov.

At Blå. I loved the sound of Fred Falke. Fantastic music. But what's really fantastic is what I got for x-mas from Hedda! A fashion sausage - fashion hotdog - magic stick - sjekkepølse - well, it's the knitted thing around my neck! It's made by Cecilie and Gilles (I wrote about them some time ago). I'm also wearing my new shirt by Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair.

The crew!

Happy 09!
